THE BIG STUPIT CEILIDH BAND
We are a four-piece Scottish dance band based in Glasgow, Scotland, and have been playing ceilidhs together for over ten years. Our music combines fast and furious folk melodies with a rousing and rambunctious rock edge. This plus our great sense of humour and fun, guarantees an unforgettable experience.
Our ten years performing together have led to us playing for the athletes at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014, to playing for the Tartan Army, to travelling across the Irish Sea for an unforgettable wedding on the West Coast of Ireland. We are available for hire for any occasion you can imagine, and we do our best to cater to whatever you need from us. All the dances are called and explained by our expert caller and drummer, Big Stupit Jamie, to ensure nobody is left out from the Big Stupit action, and if after two run-throughs you're still scratching your head then just dance your socks off to the music... whatever makes you happy.
